Oh Tannenbaum...

This tree was found on the lovely blog All The Luck In The World!

Why cut down a living tree for Christmas, when there are sooo many crafty alternatives?!

You could make one from an old book: DIY Recycling Tanne on Dawanda (in German). Or a modern looking version with washi tape, found here. If you want to go three dimensional, try a Cardboard Christmas Tree! Get creative with your bookshelves or with all the little trinkets you have lying around the house. You can make one (or buy one readymade) from scrap wood, birch tree branches and even from pipe cleaners.

And then, to top it off with something beautiful, make this stellated dodecahedron for the treetop!
