Winter Projects

Combining two childhood favourites in one genius project: the Treasure Hunt Advent Calendar!! I saw it on the happy home.

To adorn all those bare branches... or maybe one, to bring some colour into my home!

Or embrace the cold and the snow and make some Paper snowflakes with How abour Orange! It was one of the first blogs I read regularly and Jessica has ever since inspired me to try some great projects! I especially love and use often her Useful Resources section.

Fall Tutorials

I have never knitted with Mohair before... but this shawl would be a good reason to try!

This Vintage Postcard Calendar Journal by Design Sponge is for people like me who cannot keep track of a regular journal... and like to record their adventures anyway! I also love buying old postcards on flea markets and imagining the people that wrote and received them...

Make a Mod Mobile with Dollarstore Crafts! It is beautiful and reminds me of the art of Alexander Calder and Joan MirĂ³, two of my favourite artists.

I love this gocco-ed fox card from Ink Caravan!

Dreaming of a birthday party...

Imagine it's your birthday, and among the party guests are a cute shiny squirrel, a dinosaur and an elephant... these candle holders from Hank & Hunt can make this dream come true! The DIY post can be found on The Sweetest Occasion.

Summer projects

Beautiful beach bag by thimble, also the bike seat cover is very cool- in a fabric, that I love! I covered my kitchen table in this very practical oilcloth- but it's also extremely pretty, I think.
The pretty lace headband from The Red Kitchen would add a nice touch to any head of hair, I think.
And if you need a nice skirt for summer, you could try this breezy summer skirt by hippos & dinosaurs. Or this elastic waist skirt from Freshly picked. I also loved her ombre tutorial a lot- you could make a bag, or a skirt or napkins, or curtains...

Recently, all of my zippered pouches that I use for various things broke. But the internet is full of wonderful tutorials- these are some that I really like.

I ordered some colourful zippers yesterday from ebay, so there's no excuse anymore to not get started on some of these pretties!

This is exactly what it looks like outside my window right now... But there's hope for tomorrow:
Get your own weather from Kurt Riedi. Such a brilliant idea! First seen on this lovely blog.

London

I spent a few days in London, visiting a friend. We spent most of the time talking and partying but i did get to spend some time at these wonderful Museums: Saatchi Gallery, The British Museum, Tate Modern- where I saw the Sunflower Seed Installation by Ai Wei Wei.

April flowers

I am a bit late posting these... the flowers are long gone from the trees. But in April all the parks here in Vienna were a sea of beautiful pink flowers... the little vase and the swallow are from Paula Valentim at otchipotchi.
